Electric Vehicles continue to ramp up

➡️ In Q1 2020, 47.8 GWh of Battery were registered in Automotive (HEVs, PHEVs and EVs)

➡️ This corresponds to an increase of:

  • +127% compared to the pandemic-struck Q1 2020 and

  • +101% to pre-pandemic Q1 2019

Chinese players shook off all pandemic effects and returned to their unprecedented growth rate and are reclaiming market share from Korean and Japanese Battery players.

Please note that numbers are based on sold AND registered xEVs. Numbers of shipped batteries into xEVs are higher and might have somewhat different market shares.
